My parents moved in in May, 2021. This place has been such a blessing. After Mama died I found a piece she had written about the love they showed her. Daddy is still there and their care for him has been extraordinary. I can’t say enough good things about the owners, management and staff.

Frequently Asked
Questions
- What is a Personal Care Home? There is often confusion about the difference between a Personal Care Home (PCH) and a nursing home. The key distinction lies in the level of care needed and how much individuals can care for themselves. People who live in a PCH do not require the intensive medical care provided in a nursing home. Instead, they may need some assistance with daily tasks but are generally able to live semi-independently.
- Is there anything my family member cannot bring? To help keep our home safe, comfortable, and enjoyable for everyone, we kindly ask that all of our community members (or their guardians) review and sign our House Guidelines. These guidelines outline what is and isn’t allowed in our home, with everyone’s well-being in mind. For safety reasons, items such as weapons (including pocket knives), firearms, alcohol, illegal drugs, and prescription medications that don’t belong to the resident are not permitted. Additionally, to maintain a clean and healthy environment, we cannot allow any items that pose a health risk — such as soiled linens or clothing. Our goal is to ensure a warm, welcoming space where everyone feels secure and cared for.
- Can we visit with our relatives or take them out with us? We warmly welcome family and friends to visit! To ensure the best experience, we kindly ask that visits happen during regular business hours and not during mealtimes when residents take medications. Please call ahead so we can make sure your loved one is ready. If you plan to take your family member out, just let us know in advance so we can prepare any needed items, and please sign them out before leaving.
- Can my family member bring a personal vehicle? We’re happy to let residents bring their personal vehicles, as long as a few guidelines are followed to keep everyone safe and organized. For everyone’s safety, residents must also have their physician’s approval to drive, which we’ll keep on file. Plus, we’ll need copies of a valid driver’s license, proof of insurance, and confirmation that the vehicle is in safe, working condition.
- Can I host a birthday party for my family member? We would absolutely love that! In fact, we make it a point to celebrate each resident’s birthday with a special cake (to share, of course!). Since some of our residents don’t have much family, we truly cherish any opportunity to make their day extra special. If you’d like to bring food or treats to share, just let us know ahead of time so we can adjust our menu. We’re also happy to help with decorations—feel free to drop them off at least a day in advance, and we’ll make sure everything is set up beautifully!
